Launch of Wheat Harvest in the Gezira Scheme Early Next Week

The Governor of the Gezira Scheme, Engineer Ibrahim Mustafa Ali, announced that the wheat harvest across all sections of the project will officially begin early next week.

In a press statement on Tuesday, he confirmed that preparations for the harvest are complete, noting that machinery is ready and harvesters are fully available across the scheme.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Agricultural Administration at the Gezira Scheme, Engineer Ali Ahmed Ibrahim, conducted a field tour this morning in the northern sections to review the final arrangements for the start of harvesting, confirming that all preparations have been finalized.

He also revealed that a team from the National Seed Administration at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation has arrived at the project to carry out final certification of the cultivated seed production areas under the supervision of the Seed Multiplication Unit.
