Joint Forces Spokesman to Sudanhorizon: The Border Triangle Will be Cleared of Militias Within Days

Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Musa

The Joint Forces Spokesman, Colonel Ahmed Hussein Mustafa, confirmed that the situation in El Fasher is good and that it is under the full control of the armed and joint forces.

Mustafa said in a special statement to Sudanhorizon news website that there are no clashes on the ground, only combing operations being conducted by our forces in some eastern neighborhoods, as well as special operations on the outskirts of the city. He added that the Rapid Support Forces militias and their allies, as usual, are shelling the city from outside, targeting densely populated residential areas and displacement camps.

The official spokesman for the joint forces also confirmed that the Rapid Support Forces and their allies, Khalifa Haftar’s militias, would not be able to remain in the border triangle area between Sudan, Egypt, and Libya. He said that what had happened was a slaughtered revolt, intended to boost the morale of their collapsed militias after suffering successive defeats on all fronts, and also to hinder operational progress on the westward-bound Kordofan fronts. He explained that this was the primary objective of the attack on the border triangle, noting that the Rapid Support Forces were present and in control of the Jabal Awliya Dam triangle in Khartoum. The official spokesman for the joint forces denied the rumours that fuel supplies for the Sayyad movement and the desert axis were coming through the border triangle, and said that our fuel did not come from Libya, and that commercial operations between the Libyan city of Kufra and Sudan have been halted for a year and a half, adding that all roads are closed from this direction, even convoys are being looted by the militia, and not a single relief vehicle has entered. He continued, “We have other channels to bring fuel to our forces,” pointing out that all of these are false allegations and completely unfounded. He said that the militia wants any false victory to raise morale, because there is a complete collapse in it, in addition to the failure of the mobilization operations carried out by the militia, whether in Nyala or Al-Daien. He explained that this is the main goal of entering the border triangle, and that the triangle did not have a large force, it only had a gate and a small force, stressing that they will not be able to remain in the triangle for a long time, and he said that the triangle will be completely clear of militias within the next few days, whether Haftar or the Rapid Support Forces.
