Jaber: Zadna Projects Crucial Economic Lever for Sudan’s Agriculture Future

Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, member of the Transitional Sovereign Council has praised the advanced methodology of Zadna International Company in managing productive projects, particularly agricultural and livestock production projects.

During his visit to the Zadna Company’s agricultural administration headquarters in Khartoum Bahri, Jabber who is also Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) has emphasized the state’s interest in and support for agricultural development policies, considering agriculture the cornerstone of the Sudanese economy.
He noted that the mega-projects undertaken by Zadna Company represent a genuine addition and a crucial economic lever for the future of agriculture in Sudan.
The Sovereign Council member has stressed the need for the company’s planning programs to focus on designing projects that achieve social development in targeted areas and provide job opportunities to harness the potential of young people. This will ensure balanced development and the rehabilitation of service sectors, contributing to encouraging the return of citizens to production areas.
He also highlighted the importance of focusing on cultivating cash crops in which the country has a comparative advantage, while ensuring the added value of these products.
Jaber praised the company’s scientific approach to managing its projects, emphasizing that the success of this experience encourages its replication in other similar sectors. He called for strengthening ties between the company and universities and research centers to maximize benefits and exchange expertise.

For his part, Dr. Taha Hussein, General Manager of Zadna International, explained that the company has been able to implement numerous projects within the balanced development program despite the difficult circumstances and economic instability. This was achieved through investing in human capital and resources and attracting expertise according to a strategic vision.
Dr. Taha Hussein pointed out that Zadna was among the first companies to respond to the call to return and resume operations. It restarted work on the “Zadi 1” project despite the war, paving the way for its imminent opening.
The General Manager added that the company is currently working on implementing several agricultural and construction projects in various states as a strategic partner in reconstruction and achieving balanced development models. Furthermore, it is focused on generating added value by restarting factories and productive farms. He pointed to the efforts of Zadna Company in establishing and rehabilitating a number of state airports, in support of the process of restoring of Sudanese economy’s health.
