Ibrahim Jaber: Improving the Khartoum Health Situation a Priority

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Creating a Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State, Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, today inspected the work at Jebel Aulia Hospital, the Military Hospital in Jebel, Makkah Eye Hospital in Kalakla, Bashayer Teaching Hospital in Mayo, Ibrahim Malik Hospital, and the Excellence Hospital in Al-Sahafa. He was accompanied by Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim and Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza.

The Sovereignty Council member affirmed that improving health services and rehabilitating hospitals tops the priorities of the Higher Committee for Environmental Preparation at this stage.

He directed the Federal Ministry of Health to focus on environmental sanitation and to complete the shortages in medical equipment, devices, and staff so that hospitals can provide services at full capacity.

For his part, Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim explained that the Sovereignty Council member observed the efforts of the Ministry of Health, the state government, and community committees to prepare the environment in these hospitals for operation and to receive citizens.

He praised the efforts of the electricity administration in supplying power to hospitals, which has contributed to ensuring water supplies.
