HAC Commissioner Assesses IDPs Situation in Abu Jubaiha

The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Salwa Adam Buniya, has paid a field visit aimed to inspect the humanitarian situation in Abu Jubaiha locality and to assess the scale of displacement and the the humanitarian needs.

Upon her arrival in the locality, situated in the eastern mountains of South Kordofan State, the Comissioner was met by the Deputy Governor of the State, Abdul Rahman Daldoum, the Executive Director of Abu Jubaiha locality, Mr. Simon Tab Mian, and leaders of the local security and executive agencies.

The Commissioner was debriefed during the meeting with the Deputy Governor, the Executive Director, and security officials, in the presence of the local Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Abdul Rahim Hassan Abdul Baqi, on the causes of displacement, the challenges facing the Commission before and during the war, and the ongoing displacement, which has exceeded 113,000 displaced persons distributed across seven camps.
