General Intelligence: War Nears End as Aid Reaches White Nile, Army Prepares to Secure Darfur

Rabak – Sudanhorizon
The General Intelligence Service dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to White Nile State this morning, on Friday. The convoy was received by the state governor, Lieutenant General Qamar al-Din Mohamed Fadl al-Mawla, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, and a number of state dignitaries.
The representative of the Director-General of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Abu Obeida Mirghani, described White Nile State as a “state of steadfastness” that has secured Sudan’s back. He considered it a fundamental pillar in defeating the militia by preventing its entry.
Upon handing over the support and backup convoy provided by the General Intelligence Service, he said that this is limited support, followed by various forms of support, reflecting the state’s unique nature and its contribution to monitoring information, analyzing data, and dealing with the enemy based on well-studied data.
Mirghani said that the state deserves more support because it has unconditionally hosted all components of Sudanese society and that the displaced people have quickly integrated with the local communities. He attributed this to the nature of the “White Nile people.” He said that the General Intelligence Service is monitoring, combating, and dealing with irregularities and that its presence on various fronts aims to play military, societal, and developmental roles.
He noted that its strikes have hurt the rebellion and paralyzed its military and intelligence capabilities. He indicated that, for them, the war was nearing its end and that the army would soon enter Ad Daein.
Furthermore, the Director of the General Intelligence Service in White Nile State, Brigadier General Al-Jazuli Al-Tayeb Abdul Rasul, said that the people of White Sea deserve support because they have hosted displaced people from all Sudanese states and continue to deserve more support from the intelligence service.
He added that this convoy is not the first by the General Intelligence Service, as it was preceded by others in Khartoum, Al-Gezira, Sennar, and North Kordofan states. He emphasized that the service will stand side by side with the citizens and state governments and will not let the Sudanese people down. He also commended the Director General of the General Intelligence Service and his deputy, who have succeeded in stabilizing the institution.
