Foreign Ministry Condemns Iranian Attack on Gulf States

The Government of Sudan strongly and unequivocally condemned what it described as a blatant and unlawful Iranian attack on the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which took place earlier today.

In a statement issued Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed Sudan’s “full solidarity with the sovereignty of these sisterly states and the integrity of their territories.” The statement also called for adherence to the principles of international law and a return to the negotiating table.

Several Gulf countries announced that their air defense systems had intercepted waves of missile bombardment launched from Iran earlier this morning, against the backdrop of the war initiated at dawn on Saturday by the United States and Israel against Iran.
