Finance Ministry: Economy Protected from Collapse

The Undersecretary of Planning at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mohamed Bashar Mohamed Adam, affirmed the importance of the ministry’s role in maintaining state cohesion and protecting it from economic collapse amid the exceptional circumstances the country is going through. He noted that the state was able to overcome its most difficult phases thanks to the efforts of loyal citizens across all areas of public service, particularly employees of the Ministry of Finance.
Addressing ministry staff in Khartoum on Sunday during an inspection tour to review work progress and performance, the undersecretary pointed out that many important initiatives have been implemented. These include the formation of a special committee to prepare reconstruction programs and Sudan’s post-war vision, as well as the organization of the first economic conference held during the war, which produced a number of valuable recommendations that helped guide the implementation of state programs. He stressed the need for all state employees to unite their efforts to achieve development and reconstruction across the country.
For her part, the representative of the ministry’s employees, Fatima Hassan, affirmed the staff’s readiness to stand behind the leadership and exert greater efforts to implement the ministry’s plans and programs on the ground. She expressed hope for a near return to normal life and stability, and for the restoration of economic stability in the country. She also praised the significant efforts undertaken by the ministry to prepare a conducive environment and provide services aimed at achieving economic development throughout Sudan.
