Energy Ministry Holds Workshop on Advanced Measurement and Metering Technologies in the Oil and Gas Sector

The General Administration of Petroleum Facilities at Sudan’s Ministry of Energy organized a specialized workshop on Wednesday at its headquarters in partnership with the Czech company VAE CONTROLS.
The workshop was held as part of ongoing reconstruction efforts and initiatives aimed at restoring the efficiency of oil infrastructure affected by the war. It also comes as the Sudanese Petroleum Corporation continues maintenance and rehabilitation work on damaged facilities and seeks to equip the oil and gas sector with the latest global technologies while enhancing the skills of industry personnel in line with rapid developments in measurement and control systems.
The event brought together representatives from public and private sector companies operating in the oil and gas industry. Participants reviewed modern technologies in petroleum measurement and metering systems, as well as internationally used solutions for monitoring oil operations, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing measurement accuracy.
The workshop showcased the latest advanced systems and technologies used in the global oil and gas industry and explored ways to utilize them in developing Sudan’s petroleum infrastructure and supporting modernization and rehabilitation efforts during the coming phase.
Participants emphasized the importance of such events in facilitating the transfer of international knowledge and expertise and strengthening partnerships with specialized companies. They noted that these efforts contribute to the development of Sudan’s oil and gas sector and support the ministry’s plans for reconstruction and sustainable development.
