Energy Minister Urges Chinese Company to Expedite Hydroelectric Power Transformers Supply

Cairo – Sudanhorizon

Sudanese Energy and Mining Minister Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed has urged the Chinese energy company Xi’an to expedite the supply of hydroelectric power transformers.

This came during his meeting with the company’s regional director in Cairo on Tuesday, where they discussed the possibility of adding more transformers.

The two sides agreed that the company would conduct a field visit to power stations affected by the war in Sudan, in addition to supplying mobile substations as an urgent emergency solution.

For his part, Badr Al-Din Al-Fil, Director General of the National Engineering and Energy Company, confirmed that the company would undertake the deliveries according to the electricity company’s technical requirements and the agreed-upon timetable.

Al-Fil noted that the National Company plays a strategic support role in implementing projects in cooperation with the Sudan Electricity Holding Company.
