Ethiopian Intelligence Chief: We will continue to strive for peace
Ethiopia’s Intelligence Chief, Ridwan Hussein, arrived in Port Sudan this morning (Monday) where he was welcomed the city’s airport by the Director General of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
Ridwan carries a letter from Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, dealing with relations, confirming that his country, Ethiopia will continue its steadfast support for efforts to promote peace and stability in Sudan.
Ridwan stated in a tweet, which the news sudanhorizon obtained a, that he held discussions with his counterpart, General Mufaddal, at Port Sudan Airport and that he came bearing a message from the Ethiopian Prime Minister to Lieutenant General Al-Burhan. He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and added that his country will spare no effort in helping to achieve peace in Sudan and the regional area.
