CECAFA Junior Zone Draw Places Sudan in Group Two

The draw for the East and Central Africa (CECAFA) Under-17 Zone qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations for Juniors, which took place on Thursday in Uganda, placed the Sudanese national team in Group Two alongside Kenya, South Sudan, and Somalia.

Nine teams are participating in the CECAFA Under-17 Championship, which qualifies for the African Cup of Nations for Under-17 (2025), namely Uganda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Tanzania.

The champion and runner-up of the tournament, which will be hosted by Uganda from (14-28 December 2024), will qualify.

The CECAFA Federation advised all participating teams to conduct magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests for players before traveling to Uganda for the tournament. All players will undergo MRI tests by CAF doctors when they arrive in Uganda.
