CBS Regulatory Framework for Electronic Clearing Expected

The Central Bank of Sudan (CBS) has revealed arrangements are underway for issuing new regulatory frameworks for electronic clearing soon.

A meeting held on Monday evening, bringing together the directors general of the Bank of Sudan and other commercial banks, discussed procedures for launching the clearing system.

The head of the Sudanese Banks Association called for support for the Liquidity Management Fund to facilitate coordination among banking groups.

The head of the Clearing Launch Committee stated that the launch of the clearing system is evidence of the banking sector’s recovery, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to overcome obstacles and streamline procedures to better serve banking customers and ensure the stability of banks.
