CBS Issues Financing Guidelines for 2026 Fiscal

The Central Bank of Sudan (CBS) on Tuesday issued the guidelines for granting bank financing for the current year, 2026.

The Central Bank allowed commercial banks to finance reconstruction projects, maintenance, and real estate development, provided that the land to be built on is owned by the client.

The guidelines also permitted financing for companies, institutions, and government bodies, as well as financing for local trade, productive projects, silos, cotton gins, and warehouses in producing states.

Trading in foreign currency and the purchase of stocks and securities are prohibited as per the instructions.
