CAF Sanctions on National Clubs and Federations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposed financial sanctions on national federations and clubs participating in the Champions League and Confederation Cup on Wednesday for various reasons.

The sanctions included a fine of (10) thousand dollars on the Algerian club, Ittihad El-Djazair, and (15) thousand dollars on the Moroccan club, the Royal Army, due to the fans’ use of flares.

And (20) thousand dollars on the Tunisian club, Sfaxien, due to the fans’ use of flares and lasers against the Algerian club, Constantine, in the African Confederation.

The sanctions included a fine of (50) thousand dollars on the Libyan National Federation, and playing two matches without an audience, and the Benin national team (30) thousand dollars due to the events of the last round of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Nations.
