Cabinet Affairs Minister Reviews Standards Authority Performance and Pledges Support

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Lamia Abdel Ghaffar, reviewed the performance of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) and pledged to support for the organization so that it fulfills its vital role. Dr. Lamia , Minister of Cabinet Affairs, was briefed on the SSMO’s performance during the war.

The Minister met on Tuesday in her office in Port Sudan with the Director General of the SSMO, Rahba Saeed, who presented a comprehensive overview of the organization’s performance and achievements over the past period.

These achievements included technical work, recovering lost items, developing laboratories and facilities, construction and development, and maximizing exports, particularly in the gold sector.

Saeed also reviewed the SSMO’s efforts to ensure employee stability and serve the community through corporate social responsibility initiatives, as well as its ongoing efforts to raise awareness and promote a culture of standardization and meterology.

For her part, the Minister expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the Sudanese Standards and Meterology Organization and its importance in protecting the consumer and the national economy. She pledged to support it and work to remove all obstacles it faces in discharging its duties, stressing the importance of the organization and its role at all times, especially at this stage in the country’s history.
