Burhan Performs Friday Prayers in Al-Aylafun, Commends the People’s Support for SAF

The Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council performed Friday prayers today at the mosque of Sheikh Khalifa Ali Khalifa Barakat in the Al-Aylafun area of East Nile locality.
Burhan offered his condolences on the death of Khalifa Ali Khalifa Barakat, the successor of Sheikh Idris Wad Al-Arbab in Al-Aylafun, accompanied by Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali Sabir, Head of the Intelligence Service.
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF)commended the people of Al-Aylafun for their steadfast support of the Armed Forces in the Battle of Dignity.
Addressing the worshippers at the mosque of Sheikh Khalifa Ali Barakat, he stated that the war that erupted in the country was instigated by external parties and circles.
He praised the role of the people of Al-Aylafun in facilitating the delivery of supplies to the Armed Forces in Khartoum before the fall of Wad Madani, as well as their role in the steadfastness of the Engineers Corps unit located in the area until the liberation of Khartoum.
Burhan praised the significant role of Sufi orders in spreading the tolerant teachings of Islam, explaining that Sufism has always remained far removed from extremism, fanaticism, and rigidity. He pointed to their contributions in spreading the values of solidarity and cohesion within society, calling for adherence to the path of the righteous predecessors, which calls for truth, compassion, and unity.
According to a press release issued by the Sovereign Council’s media office, Al-Burhan stated that with the determination and will of the Sudanese people, they are capable of defeating all the enemies’ schemes.
He called on the Sudanese people to be patient and persevere until they reach safety.
He referred to the calamities and setbacks that Sudan has faced since April 2023, calamities compared to which pale the current crises in electricity and fuel.
He added, “We will complete the liberation of Sudan and move towards eliminating the rebels and all enemies of this proud nation.”
