Burhan and King of Bahrain Discuss Developments in Sudan, Efforts to End the War

On Wednesday, Chairman of the Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan held talks with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain at the Sakhir Royal Palace in Manama.
According to the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the discussions focused on the evolving situation in Sudan and regional and international efforts to end the war and achieve stability in the country.
Burhan arrived in Manama for a brief visit as part of a Gulf tour that took him on Tuesday to Saudi Arabia and Oman.
BNA reported that the meeting between Burhan and King Hamad bin Isa addressed regional and international developments of mutual interest.
They also discussed the latest developments in Sudan and the efforts underway to reach a permanent ceasefire that would fulfill the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and stability, preserve Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and facilitate the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of Sudan.
The King of Bahrain welcomed Burhan’s visit and reviewed with him the course of the close fraternal relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation at all levels, in order to achieve the aspirations of both countries and serve their mutual interests.
The King emphasized the depth of the strong bilateral relations that unite the Kingdom of Bahrain and Sudan, and the mutual commitment to developing and strengthening them for the benefit of both peoples.
The King of Bahrain expressed his deep appreciation for Sudan’s stances and the sincere sentiments of solidarity expressed by the Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council towards the Kingdom of Bahrain in the wake of the Iranian attacks.
The Sudanese Sovereign Council’s media office stated that the summit between Burhan and King Hamad addressed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop cooperation in various fields to serve common interests.
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council conveyed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the King for the warm and generous reception, commending the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting Sudan.
Burhan reiterated Sudan’s full support for Bahrain, both government and people, in facing the regional situation, stressing Sudan’s rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain. Al-Burhan also affirmed Sudan’s commitment to strengthening and developing frameworks for joint cooperation to serve the aspirations of the two brotherly nations.
The joint discussions addressed the situation in the region amidst escalating regional tensions, as well as issues of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed to continue consultations and coordination in all areas to fulfill the aspirations of their peoples.
