Army Spokesperson: Armored Corps’ Joining General Command Units Reduced Enemy’s Freedom of Maneuver

Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Musa
The official spokesman for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, has explained that the importance of the Armored Corps’ joining the General Command forces lies in the fact that it has now removed bottlenecks and facilitated the linking of forces with each other on various fronts within the capital, Khartoum.
In a statement to the Sudanhorizon news website, Brigadier General Nabil said that this operation has significantly limited the enemy’s ability for maneuver, adding: “Today, we were able to open the road between the Armored Corps and the General Command, and freed the People’s Teaching Hospital, the largest site where the militias were located, towards central Khartoum.”
He indicated that the road was now open to all units in the capital, facilitating the movement of forces.
Regarding the timing of the liberation of the Republican Palace in the capital, the official spokesman for the Armed Forces said that due to the nature of military operations and movements, “we do not specify our targets nor announce a specific time-frame for liberating these locations.”
The Sudanese army on Monday announced that its troops have joined forces coming from the direction of the General Command in Khartoum for the first time since the outbreak of the war in April, 2023.
