Army Spokesman: Militia Claims About Killing Civilians in South Kordofan Are False

The official spokesman for the Sudanese Armed Forces, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, described the talk promoted by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia and its affiliates about the Sudanese army killing civilians in the Al-Hamadi area of South Kordofan State as “false and ridiculous allegations being promoted by the Al-Dagalo militia and their political wing.”

In a press statement published Monday on the Armed Forces’ social media platforms, Brigadier General Nabil said that the Armed Forces have continued to protect Sudanese citizens throughout this war, saving them from the brutality and violations of the militia, whose unprecedented criminality is well known to everyone. The testimony of our citizens, who welcome our forces with open arms and hospitality everywhere they cleanse that scourge, is sufficient.

The Sudanese Armed Forces and their supporting forces are making progress on the battlefronts in South and West Kordofan states, and have retaken a number of towns from rebel control.
