Al Hilal Returns to the African Quarter-Finals After a 9-Year Absence

Al Hilal’s professional footballer Jean Claude put his team in the quarter-finals for the first time in nine years with an equalizer yesterday evening, on Sunday, against Algerian Mouloudia. The match took place at Sheikha Bedia Stadium in Nouakchott in the African Champions League group stage for Group One.

The Sudanese club earned a point that guaranteed its advancement to the quarter-finals with 10 points, regardless of the upcoming matches in the group.

Al Hilal awaits two rounds against Tanzanian Al-Shabab and Congolese Mazembe, which have become more akin to friendly matches.
