Al Burhan’s Assistant Crosses to Bahri for the First Time Since the Start of War

Lieutenant General Yasir Al-Atta, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, arrived in Khartoum Bahri on an inspection visit. This was his first visit since the outbreak of the war in mid-April of last year.
The army’s media broadcast footage of Al-Atta being welcomed at the Kaddaru Military Area in northern Khartoum amidst the enthusiastic reception of the soldiers.
Field sources told Sudanhorizon news outlet that the Sudanese army continued its advance on the fourth day of the military operation aimed at regaining control of the capital, with its three cities.
The sources reported that the army dealt with snipers from the Rapid Support Forces stationed in high-rise buildings in the Shambat area, as part of one of the army’s connection points with the Signal Corps.
Regarding the ongoing battles around the perimeter of the Jaily Refinery, north of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, the sources mentioned that the army deployed four fronts to advance towards the site and encircle the Military Industrial Complex and the Qari Mountains, which are not far from the refinery.
