The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, pledged on Friday to expel the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia from all areas under its control and to guarantee that “this harsh experience will not be repeated.”

He emphasized that “the rebel militia and those who support and aid it will never rise again,” stressing that “retribution for the blood of the people and the restoration of their rights is a duty that will not be compromised.”

He expressed his appreciation for the sincere prayers and supplications offered by sheikhs and religious leaders for the purification and liberation of Sudan from all those who seek to undermine its sovereignty.
