Al-Burhan Meets the Norwegian Minister of International Development

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with Ms. Anne Beth Tevenerem, Minister of International Development in the Kingdom of Norway, on Friday, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed, and the meeting also touched on developments in Sudan, and many issues in the region, according to a circular published by the media of the Transitional Sovereignty Council.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed Sudan’s aspiration to continue joint cooperation with the Kingdom of Norway, and to raise it to the desired level that meets the common aspirations of the two countries.
His Excellency provided an explanation to the Minister of International Development in the Kingdom of Norway about the course and developments of events in Sudan and the treacherous attack launched by the terrorist rebel Rapid Support Militia on the Sudanese state.
For her part, the Minister of International Development in the Kingdom of Norway affirmed her keenness and support for the efforts aimed at achieving peace in Sudan and ending the suffering of citizens and expressed her country’s aspiration to advance, consolidate, and enhance bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, Permanent Representative of Sudan to the United Nations in New York.
