Al-Burhan Directs Enhancement of Relations with Beijing

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on Sunday directed the enhancement and development of Sudanese–Chinese relations, praising the advanced level the ties between the two countries have reached.
This came during his meeting at his office with Sudan’s Ambassador to China, Omar Issa, on the occasion of his farewell ahead of assuming his post as Sudan’s ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.
In a press statement, Omar Issa said he received directives from the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council aimed at upgrading and strengthening Sudan’s relations with China, noting that Sudanese–Chinese relations are “a strategic partnership that enjoys strong support from the leadership of both countries.”
He added that he will exert every effort to develop and strengthen these relations in a way that serves the interests of both peoples, stating: “The directives I received from the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council will serve as a roadmap for my work in the coming period.”
