Adawi Calls for Expanding Egyptian-Sudanese Banking Integration Opportunities

The Sudanese Ambassador to Egypt, Emad El-Din Mustafa Adawi, has emphasized the importance of expanding banking integration opportunities between Egypt and Sudan.
Addressing the third preparatory workshop for the second Egyptian-Sudanese Business Forum, titled “Banking Integration Between Egypt and Sudan,” held in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, on Monday, the ambassador called for banks to provide financing for urgent economic sectors related to infrastructure and production.

He also urged the establishment of financing portfolios to fund strategic and rural commodities and activities.
Ambassador Adawi stated that expanding banking activity necessitates considering ways to accelerate integration with Egypt, which possesses extensive banking experience, active regional companies, and reliance on business automation to achieve the needed speed and support decision-makers.
He affirmed that accelerating banking transactions and increasing the volume of interests and exchanges, in a way that enables Sudan and Egypt to form a transformative force for the investment and business climate through a supportive banking environment, are matters based on simplification and incentivizing investors.
Adawi pointed to the national efforts exerted by all Sudanese state institutions, including the Central Bank of Sudan, to ensure the recovery of the banking sector, restore confidence in the systems, and provide technical and financial support to the banking system to enable it overcome war repercussions.
