The High Committee for Voluntary Return announced on Saturday that the third flight for Sudanese returning from Uganda will head for Sudan, Sunday.

Uganda hosts approximately 92,000 Sudanese refugees, with about 10% to 13% of them settled in the capital, Kampala, while the rest reside in the Kiryandongo camp, which serves as the main reception and registration center.
Reem Abdel Jalil, spokesperson for the High Committee for Voluntary Return in Uganda, stated in a press release that “the third voluntary return flight, operated by Badr Airlines, will bring back 100 Sudanese from Entebbe Airport to Port Sudan, Sunday.
She noted that the flight is completely free of charge, provided by Badr Airlines, as part of its support for voluntary return programs and to alleviate the burden on Sudanese refugees in Uganda.

The official added that the Sudanese families have gathered at the Sudanese Friendship School in Kampala and will be transported to Entebbe Airport. The High Committee aims to repatriate approximately 10,000 Sudanese refugees from Uganda during the first phase of this project, which was launched in February 2026
