Sudanhorizon – SUNA
The Tina Locality Emergency Room in North Darfur State stated that approximately 20,000 new refugees crossed the border from Tina, Sudan, to Tina, Chad, in recent days, most of them from the displacement camps in Zamzam, Abu Shouk, and the Tawila area. The locality continues to receive daily and continuous influxes of displaced persons.
It added in its latest report that some fleeing families arrived in Tina, Sudan, on foot in extremely tragic conditions. It noted the presence of many injuries of varying severity among the displaced as a result of the attack by the Al-Dagalo militia on them in Zamzam camp. They did not receive any medical aid, and their wounds are in critical condition and require urgent medical care. There are also pregnant women, and there have been cases of miscarriages due to the harsh psychological and humanitarian conditions they were subjected to.
The report revealed the arrival of children separated from their families, with a large group arriving in Tina unaccompanied. It explained that these children were with their families during the attack on Zamzam camp and were separated. It also explained that there were other cases of children whose parents were killed or detained by the Rapid Support Forces militia on their way there, leaving them either orphaned, without support, or separated from their families and suffering from physical and psychological ailments.
It stated that many mothers arrived in the Tina area and are still searching for information about their missing children. The Emergency Room confirmed that eyewitnesses stated that some of the children were taken from their cars as they passed through the gates erected by the militia on the road to Tina, where they were detained and continue to be held in militia detention centers.
The Emergency Room appealed to international and national organizations to intervene quickly to provide humanitarian aid to the displaced and refugees.
